80 Tooth Speed Machine

As part of the Velocipede,  a term from the 19th Century describing a 2 wheel human powered vehicle, Matt is a connoisseur of all things that are bikes.

At the moment is his most recent addition and it fulfils his current ‘need for speed’. The newest creation reaches 75 kms per hour on the flat (it may or may not have achieved that going down Victoria Road). Powered only by Matt’s 2CL (2 chicken legs), it boasts a whooping 80 tooth gear. But it’s not enough – the goal is to reach 100 kms per hour. The current world record stands at 133 kms per hour but Matt thinks that may be slightly out of reach right now.
